This year we built the main chassis for Bath Zero Emissions electric bike racing team, from their own design. The frame was adapted from a Ducati racing frame with which we added additional supports to compensate for the lack of engine which used to form a major part of its structural integrity. We then got to work on building all the sub frames that live inside the frame to house the electric motor, inverter and all the associated hardware.
They raced in the Isle of Man 2017 TT Zero class and did fantastically well to have the bike race ready and complete the circuit, whilst putting in a very respectable lap time. It was great to work with the Bath Zero guys, their enthusiasm and ambition knows no bounds.
